5/21/24 :
At what point do we put down the phone and turn our eyes to the Lord? Man’s accolades – read: Facebook likes and Instagram hearts – will not fill you. Sure, it’s a fleeting feel good, but it doesn’t quench the thirst of your soul. It doesn’t fill the crevices with Living Water and make you whole again.
It only leaves you wanting more.
And more.
And more…
The only thing to fill you, and satisfy your soul, is time spent with Jesus. And the more time you spend with Him, the less you desire the things of the world and the less you need outside forces to fill you.
Because God’s presence is enough.
He fills you up.
Enough for each day.
Isn’t that amazing?
Have you experienced the fullness of God?
I really feel like God is pressing on me to get back to a more simple time…
And I believe there are a lot of people longing for the same thing.
Craving it.
Desiring it.
But don’t do anything about it…
That’s why I’m blogging again. That’s why I’ve encouraged you to sign up for my emails. To maybe “help” you step away from social media.
To instead, check your email.
To hopefully be encouraged and challenged.
To fill that desire to truly be filled by God.
There are some really good bloggers out there. Way better than me. I challenge you to go find two or three and sign up for their emails as well. It’s such a joy to sit at the end of my quiet time and be filled, and challenged, by Godly bloggers!
