Bold Prayer

Daniel 10 starting in verse 10

Interestingly enough, the angel in the book of Daniel was not dispatched until Daniel prayed… But that angel got stuck in some spiritual warfare “traffic”. The prince of the kingdom of Persia held the angel up for 21 days, so it took a little bit of time for that prayer to seemingly be answered.

However, the angel assured Daniel that his words were, indeed, heard and that he had been sent.

Let me side note here : the prince of the kingdom of Persia was not an actual person. It was a demonic power in satan’s army that obstructed this angel. That demonic power is still very busy today and we need to stand strong against such forces…Now more than ever!!!

In Psalm 3:7, David thanks God for winning the battle before it even began! David knew that God had already been there. Somehow, even way back then, David understood that God does not live within the boundaries of time as we understand it!

And here’s the even more amazing thing – God has already answered your prayers! But, He wants to hear from us so that’s why we pray. We can confidently go to Him and thank Him for answering prayers, but we cannot grow weary or lazy. We need to be bold and courageous in our prayer time. <— note to self

I feel we’ve been taught a watered down way to pray… “God if it’s your will, let it be done.” I think that’s the lame way out.

I think God wants us to pray… “God I don’t like this. It makes me so mad, sad, frustrated, etc, but I boldly claim that this battle will be won. In fact, it has already been won! Your will will be done! Come quickly Lord Jesus and give me strength to fight this battle with You!”

Wouldn’t it give you confidence to know you can come boldly before God’s throne? Hebrews 4:16 says – Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. This verse should give you all the permission (and confidence) you need to boldly go to the Lord!

Knowing now that He has already answered your prayers, what you are struggling with that you need to release to the God of angel armies?

What can you boldly go to His throne and talk to Him about?

He’s waiting…
