Racham

5/3/24 :

Getting my face out of my phone has allowed me to see other people.

Actually SEE them.

And when I started leaning into the racham of God, only then can I truly love other people.

This does not come naturally to me.

Sure, I can be kind.

I can even be nice.

But loving? Well, that’s a bit tougher!

Before I go any further, let me share with you what the word racham means as best I can.

It is a deep, returned love. It’s kind of like a marriage relationship where love is given on both sides.

It’s intimate.

And sweet.

And honest.

And so, so good.

And when you give that kind of love back to God, you finish that “love circle” and only then can you experience racham with God. Honestly, we don’t have an English word that can even come close to describing it. We can only attempt to use word pictures.

But here’s what I have learned in the last day or two, when I stop and tell God “I love you Lord…with my whole heart, mind and soul!” something stirs deep inside…and I know it’s God.

I know He’s moving and doing things to my heart and my spirit!

And I want to keep telling Him I love Him and continue experiencing Him.

Deeper and deeper.

The love is unlike anything I have experienced before.

It’s just incredible.

I can’t explain it to you,

I can only challenge you to racham God back!
